[Donkey Kong Arcade Return]

Excellent Remake

I may sound a little biased in reviewing this since Donkey Kong is my favorite retro game out there, but I had a lot of fun with this! Everything seems spot on with this remake. Almost feels like I'm playing a Donkey Kong cabinet at my local arcade! The medals are great for replay value. Although most are easy, besides the insane million point medal, it brings fresh life into this classic. I also felt the continue system is a nice touch. I enjoy my stats so keeping track of the barrels I've jumped and enemies I've smashed with the hammer is enjoyable to me. Also being able to continue from the round you died at is great for casual play. I myself could never get to round 20 in one go, so having the option to work on each round is very motivating to me. This is a great remake of a classic with a few fun and motivating additions. I'll be coming back to this time and time again.

Fun

I enjoyed this game. The game play was good. A simple concept but it was enjoyable. The difficulty was just right. The graphics were good were good and the sound effect were perfect. Some music in the background would have been a good idea. Over all this game was good. Very simple, but fun. Keep up the good work.

Clever

I really enjoyed this quiz, I thought it was pretty unique and fun! I thought the layout of this quiz was great. and the graphics at the end were good. Really good idea to make those pictures black and white, otherwise this quiz would have been way too easy. The pictures were great. I like how they got harder and harder over time and they were of good quality. It was surprising to see how hard this quiz got by the end. Over all this quiz was really good. By the way I got 18/21.

Average

This was a pretty good Windows game but it didn't have anything different from any of the other ones. All of the features seemed to work just fine. I had the most problems with the painting. You were able to draw on the screen, the pad could have been bigger, and it would have been nice to have more colors. Other then that the other features were good. Over all this game was alright, I just wish you added something for more originality.

Nice attempt

I thought this game was a great idea. It has a lot of potential, but there are a lot of flaws. The controls worked fine. Some more details in the background would have been nice (trees, bushes, ect.). The dialogue the characters used was good. The walking system was pretty bad. You should have been able to hold down the arrow keys to walk, not keep having to rapidly press them. Some walking animation would have been a good idea to add in. I shouldn't have been able to walk through characters either. The battle system was good to an extent. The actual battling system was good and actually fun. But it was way too easy, there should have been somewhat of a challenge put into it. Over all this game was decent, but it had a lot of errors. Just spend some more time on this and it would be good. Keep it up!

Good concept.

I liked this game. From the looks of it, it seems like you took some time on this because there were a few game types in this. My favorite was survival, a lot more challenging. The gameplay was solid and challenging (for me anyway). Good job on this game and congrats on your trophy! Keep it up guys.

__The Good__
Games like these always make me want to do my best. Whenever I get about ten kick ups I strive for twenty which I like. I thought this was made pretty well. I liked the fact that there was different game modes then just the one. It made this one different from all of the others.

__The Bad__
There are so many games like this out on the internet, and it's boring to see these all of the time. They might be fun but when you play them over and over they lose the purpose. Sound would have been nice.

__Over All__
A fun game with a lot of game modes. Nice job on this flash, keep up the good work!

The graphics were good, I liked the colors you used and the ball looked good. The music was really good, I liked it. It was distracting to the gameplay so that is good. The gameplay was pretty fun, I played for awhile.

__The Bad__
It was easy to beat. I got it on my third try. This game has been done so many time as well.

A game with good music. Nice job on this flash, keep up the good work!

I love these games!

__The Good__
The graphics were nice, they were basic and looked great. The style of this game was really good. I love these stealth games, there should be a lot more of these on Newgrounds. The music you used fit well in this game. The gamplay was really fun and challenging. Really had to maneuver quickly to get away from the guards.

__The Bad__
It was kinda hard to control. I found myself bumping into the walls quite a lot and getting stuck there.

__Over All__
A fun game about stealth. Nice job on this game, keep up the good work!

This was awesome.

__The Good__
Really nice game you got here. The graphics were good, nice background and characters. The style of this flash was very unique. The sound effects were really good. The buttons looked professional as well. I really liked the violence and the creative ways of killing this monster. The game play was really fun and pretty interactive. It was also really funny watching Saddam bite the dust numerous times.

__The Bad__
Some music would have been good.

__Over All__
A creative game about killing an insane man. Nice job on this game, keep up the great work!
